General Feeding Instructions:

Please note that this is a general guide and you will need to take into consideration your pet’s activity level, age, health and breed and adjust accordingly.  Once your pet has transitioned 100% to raw food, additional adjustments may be made based on visual observations of your pet’s weight loss or gain and modify quantities accordingly.

When feeding a raw food diet, the amount of increased digestibility of the ingredients, you will be able to feed your pet less food daily.  Ensure your pet has access to plenty of fresh water at all times.  You will also note a significant change in your pet’s waste.   The stool during the transition phase will appear loose but should never be runny.  You may also notice a mucous layer which is normal as well.  Once the body has become acclimated to the diet change, the stool will become hard, compact and the overall size and frequency reduced significantly.  Another benefit is the stool will be relatively odorless for both cats and dogs.

You should begin by feeding 2 -3 % of your pet’s body weight daily, and should be split into two meals, morning and evening.  The daily food intake level should be measured in ounces to ensure the most precise method of feeding raw food.   You can also incorporate Raw Meaty bones into your pet’s diet, but never feed cooked bones to your pets. For puppies and kittens, double the amount of an adult sized animal.
